Setting up MFA on a New Phone

Prepare the New Phone:

• Download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Access the Security Info Page:

• On a computer or another device, go to the security info page. https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info

• Log in with your Oxy Microsoft account credentials.

Update Phone Information:

• Once logged in, under Security info, you’ll see your current MFA methods.

• Select Add method and choose Authenticator app.

• Follow the prompts to set up the new phone with the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Set Up the Authenticator App:

• Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your new phone.

• In the app, select Add account, then choose Work or school account.

• Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code displayed on the Microsoft 365 security info page.

• The app should now be configured with your account.

Test the Setup:

• After setting up, test the authentication to ensure everything is working correctly.

• You can do this by signing in to your Oxy email and verifying that the MFA prompt is working on your new phone.
