How to Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication for Shared Accounts:

Log into said account and go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com.

Then, from the Security Info menu, add a new sign-in method.

Then, select “Microsoft Authenticator”.

Then, select “Set up a different authentication app”

After clicking “Next” on the following page, you’ll be shown a QR Code. This QR Code can be re-used by several people at any time, and it does not expire. Store it somewhere safe, like you would a password.

To use, or re-use for multiple users on the shared account, open Microsoft Authenticator (or another authenticator app. Then, click the “+” button in the upper-right.

Then, select “Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)”

This will bring up a QR scanner. Scan the QR code.
